Clinic Admin DASHBOARD
PER EMPLOYER POLICY, I AM not allowed TO SHARE DESIGNS for this project
Project Details
OBJECTIVE
Provide users who log in with a clinic admin role a dashboard with valuable, actionable information
Problem we're solving
Users with an admin role, which has limited access (mostly appointment setting), see a homepage that is primarily blank when they log in. This is because the homepage was built for clinicians—and as admins, they don't have access/permissions to most of the clinician data. Admins need their own homepage that sums up useful information and actionable tasks that are relevant to their role.
ROLE
Lead - Research, UX Design, Testing
TOOLS
Google Forms (survey), Lucky Orange (survey invite), Sketch & PowerPoint
Research
With the help of our Provider Experience managers who reached out to their clinic contacts, I was able to collect a list of admins to give feedback on what homepage content/features would best support them when they first log in to our platform. Out of my list of contacts, 6 admins responded; some from standalone clinics and others from large networks.
After learning the specifics about their clinic, such as how long they have used our platform and how many patients they assist, I asked questions pertaining to their activities on the platform and what features they would like access to when they log in. Upon completion of the survey, I had a great list of features to inform my design for the new homepage.  I shared the survey and my analysis with our UX Director and proceeded to Sketch.
Design
I began with wireframes to ensure that the space and layout worked for the features that our admins asked for. The page evolved into 3 main sections:
1 - Appointments
2 - Patients
3. Quick links
I shared the designs (a couple of iterations) with the UX Director and she helped me with a few content tweaks on a table with the patient information that would display. I fleshed out the design to a high-fidelity mock-up, sent it to InVision and held a meeting with our internal stakeholders to review the survey results, my analysis and proposed design solution. The stakeholders liked the design and asked for a few tweaks based on technical constraints.
I followed up with a revised design and prepared to reach back out to the admins for their feedback.
(This was the last status of the project before company layoffs)
